Note: Reviews are graded from 0-5, anything higher or not showing is from our old style. Scores, however, do not reveal the important features. The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

If you like rough, raw and dirty rock and roll, this is the band for you. They have been dubbed AC/DC clones, but they are amazing and have a sound style all their own.

Lead singer Billy Wrench sounds like Bon Scott, but that doesn’t make him Bon or them AC/DC for that matter. They have a southern kick-ass sound, which gives them a Dirty Looks, almost Skynard style. It's a pure, very strong rock and roll album full of everything that you could ask for like "Gone Again" which you could put down a few Jack & Cokes or a few beers to. Songs like “On My Side” and “Ten Years to Life” relate to the harder side of life and the track "Why We Fight So Much” relates to the softer side of life so much, it almost makes you want to call that old girlfriend up and apologize….I said almost.

I am in love with this album and it's not something that you'd hear everyday all overdone and overplayed. It's rock and roll like I remember it. They are playing the music that they believe in and they definately “get the music”. It’s the type of music that never gets old like a timeless work of art. They are bringing back Rock and Roll in a good way.

You can find clips of them at www.bangtheunion.com under the media section. They have tastes of three of the amazing songs on the disk and you can also purchase the full album. Trust me, you wont be disappointed if you like rock and roll like it was meant to be.
