Beyond the Vortex is a metalcore band from Switzerland. The members are also part of another band, Timor that is more traditional death metal. "One" is their full length album and it's just another typical metalcore release. The vocals are reminiscent of Howard Jones from Killswitch Engage at times and vary between the clean and death style. Musically it has heavy riffs, some technical guitar work and blast beats galore. The production is done fairly well and "This Infinite Delerium" is probably the best track on the album. Beyond the Vortex isn't breaking any barriers with what they offer. Your money can be spent on better releases.
