Italian outfit Wrong Way to Die deliver a delicious mix of ambient, post hardcore tinged with just a bit of metalcore. Think of At the Drive In, Katatonia and early My Dying Bride producing a child. Ingrates is a departure from what you would expect from a typical metalcore band. Catchy bone crunching riffs are melded seamlessly with the ambient, proggy interludes that allow the listener a palate cleanse before shoveling the meaty riffs back in. The vocals are core derived which takes away from the subtler musical pieces. This is an album that stands apart from other metalcore releases and I would honestly classify this more as post hardcore.
