Indie metalcore newcomers, While the Buried Sleep, unleash their 5 song EP In Defeat. From beginning to end the album is a solid dose of metalcore. Heavy, grinding riffs with anthemic choruses melded with growled and screamed verses. Heavy, down tuned guitars full of crunch and rhythmic sections with lots of groove are a staple. There is a bit of a difficult time telling the difference between one song and the next but this is a solid beginning for a band that could become more polished and more poised to breakout.
