Whoever told Ancst that combining hardcore and black metal was a smart move should be given a trophy. These Germans deliver an album that has enough stomp to make a giant happy. Groove heavy riffs, monstrous breakdowns and some really cool vocals make this album stand out like the old man who brings his kid to a metal show. The drums sound a little lackluster at times but overall, I was bouncing around like crazy while blasting this one. High energy, high groove and all out fun are what you can expect when you pick up your copy of 'Ghosts of the Timeless Void'.
