  • Each song has a fresh feel



    • Miss May I is a band that you either love or you hate, there is no happy medium. With the release of "Rise of the Lion", Miss May I are sure to garner themselves some new fans as well as possibly converting some old critics.

    Keeping their metalcore roots firmly present throughout, the band also takes a more progressive approach to their song writing and incorporates a more streamlined sound that will be accessible to all sorts of music fans. With the anthemic opener "Refuse to Believe", the band have a sure fire live staple on their hands and a great way to start the album out. As the album moves onward, each song has a fresh feel and different sound from its predecessor. Vocalist Levi Benson has a great raw quality to his voice and the clean vocals are exceptional. "Lunatik", "Tangled Tongues", "End of Me" and "Hero With No Name" are all standout tracks on this album.

    With "Rise of the Lion", Miss May I are poised to kick start the next chapter of their careers and couldn't have picked a better album to start it.
