The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

As a whole is a strong album
I found that Agnostic Front’s new album is one of their better ones. I have a few of their other albums and I was more impressed with this album than the others. Although the songs are short, and seem to go from one to the other without a break, it’s a great, well put together album.

“Still Here” starts the album off with the right kind of hardcore metal that you would want and expect from this band. It's heavy on everything and gives you the feeling that you are right in the front row at one of their concerts.

“Peace” continues the assault of heaviness on the senses, but has a positive vibe to it. It encourages everyone to be who they are and to go on with whatever they are doing even though there is a war raging around us.

“Take Me Back” is a great rush of energy from beginning to end. it’s a song of fast hitting drum work and guitar. It speaks of the negative people in this world that say things that arent true to bring you down. Its giving them the boot, and gives everyone who listens to the song the courage to say “f*ck off”. It speaks about walking the walk and living your life for yourself. It’s an encouraging song for the band. I think that it has the potential of becoming one of their biggest hits if its promoted right. I enjoy the song, because it says everything that I feel on a daily basis when people stare or point at me.

The album as a whole is a strong album. The lyrics are astounding with meaning and with thrashing talent that is just waiting to be heard. I enjoy the hardcore music of Agnostic Front cause it’s a good break from the other music that I listen to. This album is a great addition to my collection, and to any collector of hardcore metal.
