With members from Dark Funeral, Sanctification, Project Hate and Vomitory making up the nucleus of this band you'd be hard pressed to guess exactly where they were going to go with their music on "World Wide Death". HAHA, just kidding. Another tribute to Sweden's old-school style, these guys just throw down the gauntlet and charge head on like a wild bull. There's death metal out there with no soloing that absolutely bores me and than there's bands like Vicious Art and God Among Insects who muster up such a groove-laden sound that you care not if the string noodling ever rears it's head. Recording this monster at the now infamous Abyss Studios certainly helped this band immensely as the sound is thick and clear...and did I mention heavy? Damn. I have to question this style's lasting power as this isn't something I'd spin day in and day out but it's certainly good enough to keep at the front of the collection of grind cds I spin on occasion. Sorry Bolt Thrower, there might just be a new sheriff in town!!!
