Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

    • This tenacious debut from Danish based Blood Label is as fierce as they come. Produced by famed Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Suicide Silence) the album displays an abundant amount of experience due in large part to the participants' resumes. The band is comprised of The Burning, Hatesphere, and Dawn of Demise members, arguably representing some of Denmark's finest exports. This debut is the first full length for the group, following an EP, "Existence Expires", from 2011.

    While "Skeletons" maintains an aesthetic hardcore approach, it still has many layers to it. Diversified songs like "Stuck in Limbo" and the title track both possess slower starts and stops that halt the momentum and allow the introverted lyrics to take hold. "Skeletons" pays obvious attention to The Haunted and its own Hatesphere but a small portion of it browses the alternative genre for more versatility and...flesh.
