Note: Reviews are graded from 0-5, anything higher or not showing is from our old style. Scores, however, do not reveal the important features. The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

Holy shit this band is fucking sick!!!!!

This quintet just blew me away after listening to it. I cannot believe that I haven't heard of this band before because they are really good. If you like old school thrash and also enjoy listening to grindcore/death metal then this is the band for you.

This quintet has absolutely floored me with their thrash metal riffs and how well they merged these two styles together. Vocalist Dan Ortega can go from a guttural Mortician style rumbling to a high pitched Glen Benton-esque screech. And the guitarwork on this album is just plain kick ass. Guitarists Mike Maxson and Kyle Bennet are obviously fans of old Bay Area thrash like Exodus, Overkill, Anthrax, and Slayer. I mean good god these guys are just revoltingly good with their guitars.

The album whips you through like a bad roller coaster ride at the fair and leaves you bloodied and bruised after it's over and screaming for more. I thought I was gonna get whiplash I was banging my head so hard. I haven't heard a band that has excited me this much in awhile and I look forward to the next album that these guys put out.

Flat out if you like metal go and buy this CD because you will shoot yourself in the face if you don't pick this one up. Or if you don't believe what I'm saying go to www.hooknmouth.com and check them out.

Buy it, but be prepared for the bloodbath you are about to unleash!!!!
