Vehemence is back with a vengance.

This quintet from Arizona show no signs of slowing down with their frenetic, bone crunching metal attack. This album is chock full of heavy groove laden riffs and drums that will cause your brain to rattle around in your skull.

Lead vocalist Nathan Gearheart growls like a pissed off lion that's ready to rip your head off. The guitar work on this album is what you would expect from most current death metal outfits with the exception of the interesting acoustic pieces that highlight a few of the tracks. This was something that was on their previous CD "God Was Created" and added a eerie, mystic feeling to the CD. If evil is something you look for in metal albums, these guys have enough evil to make your heart go pitter patter with excitement.

I haven't really gotten into many of the new death metal bands due to the fact that they all sound the same and are very stagnant with their music. However, Vehemence continues to impress me as I keep listening to them. If this is a sign of things to come, death metal could be getting a helping hand to becoming more than just growls and riff based guitar. So, go check this album out and beware because you just might like it.
