After a six year hiatus following the dissolving of the band, The Duskfall has returned to release their comeback album Where the Tree Stands Dead. Former Engel vocalist Magnus Klavborn switches between death growls and clean vocals. Throughout the album, the presence of gang vocals gives the album a more metalcore feel than traditional death metal. However, the riffs and the music are distinctly old school death metal and full of groove, rapidity and malevolence.
