I was quite impressed with 'This Is Hell' and what it brings to the table. Of course you are beaten down and ground to dust by the ferocity of the riffs and breakdowns with unbridled rage. The thing that caught my attention was the subtle use of the keyboards and slight symphonic elements combined with siren-like female vocals. The first time the female vocals and subtle keyboards kicked in, I literally stopped what I was doing because it caught my attention so much. With these little nuances and the intricate musical layers, 'This Is Hell' is an album that aims to eradicate and elucidate.
