Note: Reviews are graded from 0-5, anything higher or not showing is from our old style. Scores, however, do not reveal the important features. The written review that accompanies the ratings is the best source of information regarding the music on our site. Reviewing is opinionated, not a qualitative science, so scores are personal to the reviewer and could reflect anything from being technically brilliant to gloriously cheesy fun.

Demos and independent releases get some slack since the bands are often spent broke supporting themselves and trying to improve. Major releases usually have big financial backing, so they may be judged by a heavier hand. All scores can be eventually adjusted up or down by comparison of subsequent releases by the same band. We attempt to keep biases out of reviews and be advocates of the consumer without the undo influence of any band, label, management, promoter, etc.

The best way to determine how much you may like certain music is to listen to it yourself.

Here it is, the best damn rock record of the year, Hellfueled checking in and checking out with a high octane, hellbent hard rock sound that is so much better than anything out there. Name something that can possibly compete with these youngsters, this talented, promising band that delivers, delivers, delivers every damn time? Nobody on the scene now is this good, this soon, at this point in time. This Swedish band showed us their stuff on their phenomenal debut "Volume 1", playing smooth, calculated cuts that bring back the fury that was Ozzy and Zakk. With Hellfueled we get that speed, those bone shattering riffs, those fantastic vocals, it was like "No More Tears" meets HEAVY.

Now Hellfueled are back in less than two years, this time showing us "Born II Rock", which is every bit as good as the debut if not better. Just when I thought I could just chalk it up to beginners luck, this rocka rolla group emerges again as forefunners for the rock crown. In my opinion there is just simply no other band out there playing this style of hard rock, and with that I mean completely over the top, in your face, heavy up your ass, PURE ROCK. Why this band isn't huge is beyond me. With Hellfueled headbangers get everything they have ever liked about classic, traditional, arena rock without commercial restrictions, without censors, and damn sure without Clear Channel. This is nuts and bolts rock the way it's supposed to be. Stripped down, no keys, no filler, just hight voltage electricity. From the stage to the studio Hellfueled prove they are the heavyweights, they are the champs, and with "Born II Rock" it's a unanimous decision. Clear cut winner.....Hellfueled baby!

Favorite cuts - Every damn track man, every damn track!
