Massachusetts extreme metallers Abnormality provide us with "Mechanisms of Omniscience", a slab of tried and true death metal pie. There isn't much here that really surprises or breaks from the mold. It's pretty good throughout; it just tends to get a little repetitive with the massive riffs, raw vocals and flashy guitars over and over. They are, however, heavy enough to tear the skin off your face and leave your nerves exposed to the raw power that they possess. Though lacking in variety, if you are a fan of good, heavy DM, this one is just what the doctor ordered.
