Band Soothsayer Title At This Great Depth Type LP/EP Company Transcending Obscurity YOR 2016 Style Doom/Stoner Popular Reviews Irish doom that plumbs the depths of darkened waters ![]() Ireland's Soothsayer deliver a stunning musical landscape on the EP "At This Great Depth". Only comprised of two tracks, "Of Locusts and Moths" and "Umpire", this EP is just brilliant. The sheer weight of the music is enough to carry the album but the lyrics and the production make this the perfect package. There are some black metal elements sprinkled in and it adds some aggressiveness to the songs that really beefs them up. This is a thoroughly enjoyable listen and I'm salivating at the thought of a full-length sometime soon. Recommended for fans of: Algoma, Swampcult
