Blackened Death that lacks for variety and black metal elements
Finland's Sepulchral Curse offer a rather repetitive effort with "At the Onset of Extinction". The songs on the album feel like one long track rather than individual songs. At points, it was hard for me to tell I was listening to a different track without looking down in my playlist window. The sound on the album has a much heavier emphasis on the death metal rather than the mixture of black and death. I heard only a few black metal elements throughout and even these didn't do much to change the monotony of the tracks. While an admirable effort, this album lacked the variety I was looking for.
