Symphonic pagan black metal that is just plain bizarre
It's no secret that I love some obscure metal, I relish the opportunity to listen to some real off the wall stuff. The music on 'Zaul Mos' is a folksy, paganized symphonic black metal that is just really quite bizarre. I couldn't really make heads or tails of it and to try and even comment on the music would be an effort that is almost Herculean. The different sounds, speed and styles utilized just don't feel natural and compete with each other to the point where I was concentrating on one particular type and eschewing the rest. This is definitely not your typical metal and requires patience and serious concentration.
