Band Digir Gidim Title I Thought There Was the Sun Awaiting My Awakening Type LP/EP Company ATMF YOR 2017 Style Black Popular Reviews Hard to stay focused on this ambient black metal ![]() Digir Gidim brings some strangeness to the table with this album. The songs clock in at no less than 10 minutes plus and they have this weird, meandering structure to them. It seems like the songs start out rooted firmly in the black metal world and then just shoots off to a random, ambient landscape. The vocals are decent enough when they aren't clean or somewhat hymn-like, the latter are just really hard to listen to. But the length of the songs and the fact that there isn't any seeming structure to the tracks themselves just make this hard to get through, even on multiple listens.
