Warcry are an interesting act out of Germany that has the finesse to cross many of metal's rich sub-genres. This is the group's sophomore effort that sees the band running amok through eleven cuts of battle metal. The vocalist recalls early Vorph from Samael with his rough blackened delivery. The music gallops at full power metal speed but mixes in some atmospheric touches with acoustic strings. This sort of formula will appeal to a wide audience, from those that love the frosty sounds of extreme metal to those denim and leather bards that need fast melodic speed. I like the band's diversity but by album's end I was exhausted.
