Swedish tech/death metallers Soreption deliver a punch to the face with "Engineering the Void". Reminiscent of Decapitated and older Vader, Soreption dole out incredibly precise and venomous death metal. Featuring feverish guitar riffs, solos that come close to shattering the sound and speed barrier and vocals that drip with vehemence, "Void" is one of the best death metal releases I've heard in a few years. The album is polished and produced very well. After the album was over, I was left wanting more than the 8 songs offered and with one eye firmly affixed on the direction of this band.
