Band Jotnar Title Connected/Condemned Type LP/EP Company Massacre YOR 2017 Style Metalcore/Hardcore Popular Reviews Starts out with a whole lot of promise before fizzling out ![]() The debut full length album by Jotnar is one that starts out with a whole lot of promise before fizzling out with a dull pop. There are elements of death metal on the album but the overly used keys and samples combined with the djent-style riffing just gives it more of that core feel. The repetitiveness tends to wear you down and it feels like the album should have ended sooner than it does. The cover of "Say It Right" by pop star Nelly Furtado seems way out of place and just feels a little forced. I wanted to like the album a little bit more but the repetitiveness and length of the album just really kept me from totally getting into it.
