Finnish death thrash outfit AOV offer up an interesting hybrid of death metal and thrash on their self-title. While the album has a predominant death metal vibe to it, the band incorporate thrash styled instrumentation throughout. The death vocals come over top of galloping, groove focused riffs that provide an addictive cocktail of various ingredients. Production is pretty solid with a few spots sounding a touch muddy. Overall though, this album is definitely worth a spin, highlights being "Crack of Dawn", "S.O.B." and "Unprecedented Evil"
