Band Jackyl Title Live At The Full Throttle Saloon Type LP/EP Company Sanctuary Records YOR 2004 Style Hard Rock Popular Reviews 12/28/2004 - Review by: Ken Pierce Jackyl “Live At The Full Throttle Saloon” Sanctuary Records 2004 --Ken Pierce
Tracks that stood out to me most specifically are “The Lumberjack Song”, which is still played with a chainsaw and actually very amusing to hear in a live setting. Also “Push Comes To Shove” which was probably the bands biggest hit. While I felt the piece was good this is more for the diehard fan than the new or casual listener in an immediate sense. Such a listener will probably be better served first by a greatest hits studio piece. There is not really anything special in terms of the interior booklet, just a two page fold out. This CD has a seperate DVD released and I think it might have been smart for them to package the two together. Jackyl has a defined audience these days, and if it can be done for a band like Creed and Evanescence - Jackyl could have done the same thing. Take a look at the piece anyway.
