From the opening title track Midnight Idols just scorches this gig, laying down a proud pounding metal assault that is sure to please fans of the old school of rock. "Bright Lights, City Dreams" kicks down that long road with a furious assault that is a bit like W.A.S.P meets Def Leppard, with some huge blues chops thrown in for the boogie. "Heartbreak City" is right off of the Sunset Strip, a more sleazy groove that could be more like an LA Guns styled craft. "Light Of The Crimson Moon" levels off of the hard rock, injecting a bit more NWOBHM that recalls everything from Grim Reaper and Saxon to Iron Maiden. Favorite cut for me is the bombastic blues injected "Satan's Son", with the title cut being this month's anthem. Bottom Line - Buy this, buy this, buy this! Young Seattle boys that know their old school metal! This band is a "livewire" baby! --EC 1.15.06 ALL REVIEWS FOR: MIDNIGHT IDOLS
