Band Cabal Title Mark Of Rot Type LP/EP Company Long Branch YOR 2018 Style Heavy/Extreme Band / Release Notes Cabal is one of the most brutal acts hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band aims to create a visceral and doom-laden atmosphere throughout both their music and visual expression. The production is crystal clear, whilst the songs draw a lot of inspirations from everything from black and death metal to djent and hardcore. 'Mark Of Rot' is the debut album of CABAL and the follow-up to their critically acclaimed EP 'Purge' from 2016, which earned them an award for best rock music video of the year, as well as national radio playtime.Popular Reviews Grim deathcore with great vocals and a possible forerunner in the genre  Nothing groundbreaking or innovative on Cabal's debut full-length album, 'Mark Of Rot', but it's some extremely heavy and grim sounding deathcore and for that, this is a pretty good album. The production gives the songs that extra crunch and the vocals are full on death metal style. The occasional breakdowns and blast beats keep things interesting and songs such as "False Light", "Rah'Ru", and "Blinded" are some of the standout tracks. Cabal brings a new level of evil to the deathcore scene and if they can maintain the pace, could become one of the leading bands in the genre. 'Mark Of Rot' is a good metal album that deserves a listen. Recommended for fans of: Acacia Strain, Oceano
