Band King Lizard Title Viva La Decadence Type LP/EP Company Psycho Devito YOR 2010 Style Hard Rock Popular Reviews ![]() King Lizard bring the sunset strip from California to London. The debut album from these hard rocking youngsters is 'Viva La Decadence', a romping good time produced by veterans Andy Brook and Chris Tsangarides. 'Slave To The Grind' era Skid Row come to mind right up front but the group also dig deep with that sleazy glam feel of the late 80s. Modern fans may find a Buckcherry similarity in the vocals which is a turn off for me. I like my rockers to have a slight 'tough guy' feel but I don't get that out of 'Viva La Decadence'. It's still a really good spin and a quality debut record. For fans of Cowboy Prostitutes, Bonafide and Kid Dynamite.
