Band Aethra Title Time and Eternity Type LP/EP Company Gravis YOR 2011 Style Power Popular Reviews Should cater to the power-prog fans ![]() Mexico's Aethra are like a cross of Edguy, Avantasia and Mob Rules with slightly more pomp to their power. The group utilizes a copious amount of keyboards and acoustic Spanish guitar for their brand of progressive metal. Vocalist Eduardo Gomez is a dead ringer for Tobias Sammet, possessing that same amount of patience and reserved energy. Tracks like 'Live for Tomorrow' and 'Heroes We Are' exhibit European gallantry while 'Where the Stars Are Born' relies on keyboards and slower melodies. This is a fairly strong debut and should cater to the power-prog fans
