Universum is an Australian band that offer an array of sounds on their sophomore effort 'Mortuus Machina'. I have about as much business reviewing this as I do recapping a hockey game. It's just something I know little about and probably don't understand in the first place. These Aussies are a heavy dose of metalcore, progressive and death. Rough vocals are around early Amorphis, clean singing like Evergrey on doomy shores of Omnium Gatherum. An odd breed but probably important in some circles.
