Manchester, England's Babylon Fire hit the ground running with a strong debut called 'Dark Horizons'. The group has been in the works for about six years and plant their feet on solid studio time to release this album for Rocksector Records. The band are a straight forward metal band with clean singing across groove based riffs that recall Flotsam And Jetsam or maybe Marshall Law. Occasionally I hear some growling vocals in the mix to create a bit of a harsher tone.Singer Mark Dunford is suitable with his aggressive tone and the whole thing is as stiff as a board. My hat is tipped for this strong first outing from the Brits.
