Sweden's Eyes Wide Open blew me away in 2013 with 'Aftermath', a melodic death metal offering that was heavily influenced by the 1990's Gothenburg scene. 'And So It Begins' follows the same path, broadening the sound to accessible tunes with an influx of melody and clean singing. It's every much an In Flames album, heavily influenced by the band. It has a super-cool ebb and flow to it, punctuated by biting riffs – twin melody from Engstrand and Strandberg and spacious percussion. Room to breathe, room to improve, room for you and I to listen, watch and experience the evolution. Let's talk about this band more!
