Standing at the forefront of all the madness is Norway's Tsjuder. A menacing trio of corpse-painted lads, Tsjuder has assumed the new duties of Black Metal kings - a title once held by the mighty Immortal. Tsjuder's third official release, DESERT NORTHERN HELL, is a materpiece of classic Black Metal that sounds in the vein of Immortal and early Marduk. In keeping with the eerie traditions of Black Metal, Tsjuder create some of the most haunting riffs immaginable in this genre. Top notch drumming with light speed blast beats assist in creating a musical assault so terrifying, yet very constructive in sheer power and aggression. Some of the songs that showcase Tsjuders' blasphemous assault are: Malignant Coronation, Mouth Of Madness, Unholy Paragon, Possessed and Morbid Lust. However, the greatest surprise comes in the form of a Motorhead cover for SACRIFICE. The song is deconstructed and blends in very well with the rest of the CD yet you can still tell that it is classic Motorhead. How Genius! For all of the Black Metal demons out there, do yourself a favor and pick up Desert Northern Hell and hail the new kings of Black Metal! For everyone else, add this gem to your Metal collection and witness the true meaning of Black Metal music. --Grim Gaijin 1.11.2005 ALL REVIEWS FOR: TSJUDER
