Power chords, high vocals, and a fast pace tends to be repetitive after track 8
Deja Vu are a German power metal band that have released three albums in their ten year recording career. I love this band and have enjoyed their entire body of work. This new one has a ton of energy and it's captivating through about half the album. It's been eight years between records and the band released a ton of songs here--fourteen cuts total. I think if this was divided up and released as two records over the course of two years then it would have engaged me a little more. The power metal frenzy starts to become repetitive by track eight. Nevertheless this has tons of power and some great songs.
