First-class hits with no holds barred blast offs and super smooth landings
Arena style vocals and never mind the bullocks bravado of L.A's own Cockpit made their 3 track EP precursor to the full length EP Mission to Rock quite tasty. After checking out "Mission to Rock" the verdict is in and the main course is even better and first class in flight entertainment. With similarities to The Runaways and Girlschool Linda Lou's powerful and unassailable vocals demonstrate again that she is a more than capable pilot and she has a crew that are all spot on in their own right.
According to the official Cockpit bio, it all happened when tired of the lukewarm din dominating Hollywood's music scene and longing for the days of unfeigned, genuine rock when Harley-Davidsons roared down Sunset and smoking was permitted both indoors and out, the members of Cockpit came together as 2003 rolled into 2004.
With each following her musical aspirations to Los Angeles from various parts of the United States and the world, the result was that Vocalist/guitarist Linda Lou, Alicia Blu, lead guitarist, Bassist Terrii Kiing and drummer Rachael Rine all hit their respective previous roads and landed on the West Coast. "At a Loose End", "Shot in Hell "and "Gun For Hire" are first-class hits with aggressive, no holds barred blast offs and super smooth landings.
If these tracks are any indication of what is to come from Cockpit in the future, as I said before, prepare with your seats in the upright position. This is turbulence free rock.
