The Story: Loe was first formed during June 2000 as a three-piece band. With moderate success locally, the bands debut cd “Socialistic Composure” received recognition from Kerrang Magazine Australia. Mid way through 2002 the band gained the services of a second vocalist that saw their style shift to a more melodic sound while still retaining the heaviness. “It was always our intention to blend melody with brutality,” says Brad “But initially we couldn’t find a vocalist. Since Darren joined things have really fallen into place.”
The current line up recorded a demo cd during July 2003 called “Drop Like Flies” that won them the opportunity to support The Butterfly Effect on the local leg of their recent tour.
Still, better things are on the horizon. Recording is set to start January 2004 of the current batch of new songs. Brad says, “Once we finish the next cd we plan to really push hard to promote the band. We just want a killer cd to tour off and take our name out there to the people. “
Sounds Like: Hatebreed crossing earthtone9, with The Butterfly Effect looking on – Brutality meets melody.
