Blend together a fine mixture of thrash metal, rock ‘n’ roll, and hardcore….drown it all in gallons of beer…and what you end up with is Hatework.

Beginning in 1996, three Italian musicians, Lo (drums), Marco (guitar), and Max (vocals, bass) came together with one vision, to create a true thrash metal band that invoked elements of older German thrash, American bay area acts like Metallica and Slayer, and a genuine love to play hard and heavy rock 'n' roll.

The band began playing live shows, and after a little more than one year the band record their debut album. Because of problems with the label, the record was never released. After this bad experience it was not easy to start again with dedication, but after that the decision was made and Hatework kept getting gigs, playing live, and composing the tracks that ended up on the "Thrashers Attack" demo in the year 2000, the band started looking ahead again.

Most of 2000 and 2001 were spent in promoting the band’s demo on a live basis, and composing tracks for another 2-track promo demo which eventually got the band a deal with the Germany based label Witch's Brew in 2002.

"Madbent For Disaster", the first official Hatework CD, was finally released. The album suffered somewhat due to production, but the official debut showcased three talented musicians playing old school thrash. The trio created an album of tight, precise riffs, hellblazing drums, and top-notch solos. It was only the beginning.

During 2002 and 2003 the band performed live extensively, and as a reward for their efforts gained the support slot for important acts such as Raw Power, Tankard, and Necrodeath among others.

In 2004 the three-piece gained a record deal through the American label Beer City Records. With a better production budget and eight years of experience, Hatework released their sophomore album, "Thrash 'n' Roll, an uncompromising, explosive piece of heavy metal mayhem.

With solid tracks like "Heaven's On Fire", "Devil Eye", and "XXX", these Italians proved that they are dedicated and deeply embedded in the thrash tradition. One could think of legendary bands like Slayer, Kreator, Destruction, Razor, and Anvil when playing "Thrash 'n' Roll". Its simply amazing how a band this young can sound like seasoned veterans.

Hatework have only begun, but soon, their brand of gasoline and beer rock 'n' roll will gain them the exposure needed to compete with, and take over, the current thrash metal air-waves.
